Bat and Moth evening at Llanilar 30th May

Hi all, 

Here's the detail for the Bat and Moth evening 30th May supplied by Aline.  I hope to be there later but I'm sure Aline would appreciate as much help from the Bat Group as possible please.  Don't miss out - this should be good if the weather holds!

Meet at the community centre in Llanilar at 8 pm (I’ll be there from 7.30pm) – from the Aberystwyth direction, drive through the village and turn left at the junction by the Falcon pub (signposted B4575 towards Trawscoed); the community centre is just round the corner on the left (by the blue signposts), close to the church. There’s limited parking near the church/ community centre, so probably best to park behind the pub/ village shop (first right after the junction).

The plan for the evening is as follows:

8 pm Introduction/ welcome

8.05   Moth presentation/ slides (Ian Tillotson, Ceredigion moth group)

8.35 – 8.45 Bat introduction (Aline)

8.45 Visit church to look for signs of bats (poo reported by locals!)

9 – 9.45 Bat walk (NCBG vols)

9.45 – 10 ish Refreshments and time for questions/ view leaflets etc.

(then Thursday 31^st at 9.30 am: moth trap opening with Ian for anyone who is available).
