The state of the UK's bats - population trends 2011

Hi All,

BCT have just published their annual report on the state of the UK's bat populations. This is the sixth publication which summaries the results of the National Bat Monitoring Programme up to the end of 2011 to which you, as bat group members have contributed.  By standing there being eaten by midges or rained on - more like this year - you've all helped in the conservation and understanding of the species.  BCT writes: -

" it is thanks to the efforts of volunteers such as yourselves that we are able to collect the data needed to produce these trends, and so track how the UK's bat species are faring.  Your help in ensuring that the NBMP continues to be successful is greatly appreciated."

So pat yourselves on the backs and take a bow!

You can find these results at this link (hopefully)
